Johnny Cash | Hurt

This is a very easy but sad song about regret and what it can do to your life. The beginner should be able to pick this song up very easily. The song is a Nine Inch Nails original covered by Johnny Cash from 2002 just before his death. Many have said that the song was basically Johnny’s obituary and the song gained great popularity and debate. Anyway, I thought it would be good to post this older song since it is so recognizable and easy for the beginner guitarist.

Here Marty from GuitarJamz.com teaches you this very simple song.

Plus, it will give you goals on what you may want to accomplish in the future as you advance.

Coldplay | Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall

Here’s a great song that shouldn’t be too tough for the beginner since it only has three chords. Plus, you should be using anchors so the chord changes should be simple and fluent.
