Learning guitar can be frustrating enough in the beginning without setting yourself back even further by choosing a guitar teacher that may not be right for you. I mean, you’re already going to be asking your fingers, hands & arms to move in way’s they never have before. It’s almost like learning how to write all over again. So, it’s very important to start out on the right foot. Well, hopefully I can help you in making the right choice by doing good research. Learn Guitar Standing UpWow! This ones a great question! Well, you need to learn both.

I know we’ve all seen it before. Our favorite guitar player up on stage playing in front of a screaming crowd with his or her guitar hanging down low past the hip. It looks cool huh? Well, I can assure you if you play this way it will be like learning the guitar over again. Now, don’t get me wrong. I like to play standing up this way also. But, I also had to relearn some techniques to be able to get the notes to sound clearly. Not to mention the strain it put on my back to bend down this way. Let’s take a look at a couple of different methods of playing the guitar standing up and sitting down to see which one will be best for you.
