But, I just feel that only a hands on guitar instructor can get you started in the right direction. If you’re just taking online guitar lessons? Well, I just hope you really view these videos and take to heart the way Nick is explaining how to hold the guitar.
It’s very important how you hold your guitar to not start bad habits. Later as you continue your journey of learning the guitar it will be very important that you have the correct posture to be able to play more difficult pieces. Nate Savage explains it quite well.
How To Hold An Electric Guitar
The Electric guitar is quite different from the acoustic guitar. Depending on whether you have an electric acoustic, hollow body electric or solid body electric. The solid body electric is the most common and can be quite heavier than the acoustic guitar.
In this lesson Nate explains how to hold an electric guitar. Although quite similar in holding the acoustic guitar, there are some differences. Also, he will explain how to hold your guitar while standing up. The positioning is important.
