If you follow all the steps below that I have outlined?  You should be able to learn how to play guitar in approximately 3 months.  I don’t care what kind of talent or no talent you have.  It takes a minimum of this amount of time physically to become proficient at playing the guitar and switching chords smoothly providing muscle memory for your hands and fingers.

After the 3 month period it will generally take an additional 9 months before you can play most songs, rhythm patterns, finger picking, scales, key chord progressions, practicing at least 15min per day and taking the proper lesson outlines for your ability online.
