The Private Inside Look At My Jamplay Account
I’m going to take you through my actual account @
I’ve read many reviews of this program and I don’t believe any of them show just how awesome it is! So, here I will be going through in detail the inside of my favorite online guitar lesson program!
Jamplay!
Getting Started
The first thing I noticed was the easy navigation. On the left you’ll want to click the getting started link. This will bring you to a video section explaining how to use Jamplay. After watching these videos you’ll understand exactly how the site is laid out and where to start.
Online Community
One of the features we are really impressed with is the online community. This feature is basically set up like a social network (Myspace, Facebook etc…) You can create your own profile and upload pictures and message back and forth to other Jam Play Members & Teachers.

Extras
We were quite impressed with the extra tools that are available with this membership. The extras included are: A guitar tuner, metronome, a huge guitar chord library of ALL the chords imaginable, many licks and riffs with video demonstrations of them all, backing jam tracks and live instructors that you can ask your questions to. You’ll definitely have to check these out! See the images below for examples.
Divided Into 3 Sections:
Phase 1: Beginner Guitar Lessons
This section of JamPlay will teach you the raw basics of playing guitar, including topics such as tuning, posture, finger technique, and many other topics. Most of the instruction found in these lesson sets are very similar, just taught by different instructors.
Phase 2: Advanced & Genre Specific Guitar Lessons
Phase 2 lessons focus on learning a specific genre or style of play. However, many concepts can be applied to several different genres. Phase 2 lessons expand upon concepts and techniques taught in Phase 1, so it would be a wise idea to possess a firm understanding of the materials presented in Phase 1 before taking these lessons.
Phase 3: Learning a Song
After you’ve mastered the basics of Phase 1 and some intermediate techniques in Phase 2, you’re ready to rock n’ roll in Phase 3. If you skipped over the other phases & just want to learn a song they’ll let it slide for now! Learning your favorite songs is a great method of using your developed skills and playing something you love
Support
This is where Jamplay is set apart from the rest. They actually have daily sessions where you can talk to an instructor on live video with your questions. All of the other standard support (chat, email, phone,etc..) applies.

Lesson Format
The videos (You’ll need the latest version of Flash Player, which is Free) you will encounter at Jamplay are filmed in high definition with several camera angles so that you can easily see the positioning of your fingers and the way to hold the guitar neck. Also, these lessons have the option of being viewed in much lower quality in case you have a slow internet connection or computer. You will learn both tablature and music notation. All of which will be playing and showing you right along with the diagrams in real time. Plus, all of these materials you will be able to print at anytime during the lessons for future reference. Here are samples of the lessons:
